GLS Spring Semester 2008 |
l The Spring Semester will start Monday, January 28. The course listing is now shown for the Spring Semester . You can now enrol by submitting a Spring Registration Form. l People enroll in these courses because they require some knowledge of German for business or travel, to communicate with German-speaking friends and relatives, to read German language publications, to listen to German-speaking radio on shortwave and the Internet, to watch German language television on the Internet and to access the tremendous amount of Internet information available in German. Some use it to prepare to attend a college or university in a German-speaking country. Some simply do it to enjoy the language learning experience. Let's face it, you will have one heck of a lot more fun in Switzerland, Austria and Germany if you have some language background. You can check out some of the German-oriented links by clicking on them in NAVIGATION below. |

Stammtisch Friends |
Teachers, students of all levels, members and guests meet weekly on Wednesdays at a local restaurant to practice and enhance their language skills. Starts at 9.00 PM Wednesdays. Join with us for an informal meeting where German is spoken while you enjoy food and drink of your choice. Bring a friend. There is no entry fee and you don't have to be a GLS student or member. This is a program which reaches out to the German speaking and German learning community. If your German is rusty, here is an opportunity to exercise it. If you are fluent you can help a beginner. If you are taking German in High School this will increase your momentum. If you can't think of German words, fill in the spaces mit englisch. Please e-mail us and ask to enrol on our Stammtisch announcement list to get weekly Stammtisch announcements. |
